the future
of farming.

increasingly large machinery, heightened pesticide use, and declining biodiversity paint a concerning picture for the future of agriculture.

recognizing the urgency for change, the project curt proposes a transformative approach to farming. what if we transition to small, autonomous units empowered by smart technology? these units can efficiently carry out tasks precisely as required, offering a sustainable alternative to the status quo.

providing a compact platform, curt mini facilitates the seamless attachment of various components for testing purposes. the perforated metal sheets are cost-efficient and quick to produce, allowing all kinds of sensors to be attached in any position needed without requiring special tools.

the developed shell principle allows for a quick replacement of sensors in challenging conditions. the robot can be fully opened without detaching sensors, providing easy access to all internal electronics and the mainboard for modifications or upgrades.

through image recognition.

curt maxi is an autonomous agricultural lightweight robot addressing the future needs of farming without pesticides, as actuators physically remove the weeds. trained algorithms analyse images and distinguish between weed and crop.

the robot consist of only 2-dimensionally bent metal sheets that require few welds. as little material as possible is used.
